天得一以清，地得一以宁，神得一以灵，谷得一以盈，万物得一以生，侯王得一以为天下贞。
《老子》第39章
Heaven attained the Tao, and became clear. Earth attained the Tao，and became tranquil. Spirits attained the Tao, and became divine. Valleys attained the Tao, and became full. All things attained the Tao, and became luxuriant ，and kings and princes attained the Tao and became the heads of all things under Heaven.

得一:得道。《老子》中的“一”有三义: -指道:二指道所产生的最初的统一物。老子说:“道生一，一生二，二生三，三生万物。”其“一”即此义:三指身。这里一指“道”，得一即得道。贞:同正，首领。

天得道而清明，地得道而安宁，神得道而灵验，河谷得道而充盈，万物得道而能生养繁殖，诸侯君王得道而能治理天下。
