弱之胜强，柔之胜刚，天下莫不知，莫能行。

The reason why the weak can overcome the strong and the soft can overcome the hard is known to all the people un- der Heaven. But none follow and practice it

弱之胜强，柔之胜刚:老子以水为喻说明柔克刚、弱胜强的道理。蒋锡昌日:“此言水之道，柔弱可以胜刚强，天下莫不知，然竟莫能行也。七十章:‘天下莫能知，莫能行’，则指圣人之道言，故文字与此稍异。盖圣人之道，知难行难;而水之道，知易行难也。”

弱胜强，柔克刚，天下没有人不知道这个道理，但就是没有人实行它。
